I just came across a one line fragment in this volumous primary text I'm working with for a paper.
It is unplacable, and comes from the Suda, compiled in the 10th century as a compendium of Late Antique primary sources.
It says:
Leprosy broke out on his face.
I found it funny, you should too.

So, this break has been manic. Good days and awful days, nothing really in between. Except for today, you know, when I caught that fucking 24 hour stomach flu. That was kind of in between. Actually, no, it sucked. Man, I had forgotten what it was like to throw up, not good. Anyhow, the nina pinta is practicing tomorrow, so I'm kind of excited about that. We're going to be rusty as fuck; I hope the Paluga can remember the songs. I hope we all can. That being said, on either Wednesday or Thursday, not sure yet, I want to have a kind of relaxed show at my place. We'll play some songs, nothing extremely band-centered, though, and just kind of have a bunch of people over to catch up and hang out. So when, if, I figure that all out, it could be a good time. What else. I've still yet to catch up with some people, though I may later this week. I want some Hoffman's chocolate; anyone want to go with me? Cool, then - will see you there haha. Hope to see everyone pretty soon, so long! |

Apparently, the show at Ray's on Saturday is no longner at Rays. It's been moved to Alexis' house in Lake Worth, last I heard.
...All of which matters completely, since Jp is not yet back in town. And is not expected until Friday. So if this doesn't work out, I apologize for those who have taken time out of their schedules to see us. Also, I'll see what I can do to organize another show, maybe at my house.
This is all just talk now, but just wanted to let everybody know what was going on.

So, aside from things being really good,
The last Nina Pinta show is next Saturday, August 6th, at Ray's Downtown Blues. I'm assuming it starts around 6 or 7, and there'll be some opening bands. But really, come just for us. Just kidding, you should come and check them out too. Anyhow, by then, we should have some cds to shell out.
I look forward to seeing all of you there, it'd mean a lot to me for you all to show up. So, do.
Also, for anyone interested. Danny Dunn and the Homework Machine, at St. Juliana's, August 3rd (Wednesday) at 7pm; cover is $4.

I think Dots have moved up into my top 3 favorite candies list. I don't really know what the other ones are, I've never really thought about it. But they're up there. You should all go out and get them. Plus, the mind-boggling games on the back of each box are great brain-teasers, will keep you at it all night - and are good collectibles.
